Corruption Limiting Our Performance, Says Osinbajo
Vice – President Yemi Osinbajo has said the ruling All Progressives Congress would have performed better but for corruption, adding that graft was preventing Nigerians from enjoying full dividends of democracy .
Osinbajo said if re – elected , the APC led -government would invest $ 500 m in job creation.
He spoke on Monday during a visit to the Oloja of Epe , Oba Kamorudeen Animashaun, as part of electioneering campaign .
The vice – president urged Nigerians not to vote the opposition Peoples Democratic Party .
He said, “At the next level government , we want to establish Entrepreneur Bank and Peoples Money Bank to complement the Bank of Industry . Already , we are in partnership with the Africa Development Bank to invest $ 500 m in creating jobs.
“All these things ought to have been done before now, but corruption has prevented us from enjoying these things. We are at a point that we need to tell ourselves the truth because the country ought to have moved far ahead of where we are . If the leaders are corrupt, there is nothing that can move. It is not as if there is no idea to move this country forward. As a matter of fact , there are several ideas but corruption has refused to allow these ideas to come into fruition .”
He said an instance was the Lagos -Ibadan Expressway which was constructed in three years, but the PDP could not fix it in 16 years despite budgeting money for the road every year .
Osinbajo commended Governor Akinwunmi Ambode for infrastructural renewal in the Epe area , assuring that serious attention would be given to roads connecting Lagos to Ogun State to facilitate ease of movement and boost commerce .

At times like this, people of goodwill must rise to the clarion call to command what is good and abhor evil. A time when Nigeria is presented with a choice of who can be entrusted with thel leadershipof this great country.
Thank God, we are old enough and informed enough to know the antecedents of Mr. President Muhammadu Buhari and his character traits. We bear witness that he is a man of integrity and a national patriot, the like of whom are few in Nigeria of today amongst the past and present leaders.
Prior to his ascension as the civilian president in 2015, Nigeria was a pariah nation and a laughing stock amongst commity of nations. Despite the huge resources that accrued to the nation, the government of then was known for uncommon crave for corruption and ineptitude.
Little wonder then why for the first time, a sitting president was convincingly defeated despite the incumbency privileges.
Indeed, a new foundation is being laid, new values for accountability and good governance is being instituted and a new economy based on non-oil sector is gradually taking the center stage. The scourge of insecurity and kidnapping is being tackled and militancy is under control. Boko Haram previously controlled 14 LGA areas in North-east but have none anywhere now in the north west.
Labour-related crises are being resolved and the GDP growth is very encouraging.
Brand new Cancer Center at LUTH completed and commissioned in Lagos, a new day in the treatment of cancer in Nigeria, as early detection enhances cure.
With 8 million tons of harvest as at today is the largest producer of maize in Africa, this figure is bound to increase as more people takes to farming. Indeed contribution of agriculture to non-oil GDP is in excess of N240billion.
Major works executed by President Muhammadu Buhari:
Surgery is ongoing in the figth agaist Corruption. The untouchables are feeling the heat, conviction are being obtained and a number of them are behind bars while a lot are fugitives in foreign land, runing away from home where they once held sway. Corruption is a virus and a plague and we all must fight against it along side with President Muhammadu Buhari.
On the strength of the above, arising from the need to consolidate on the achievements of PMB, we the adherents of the Tijaniya SUFI order Nationwide hereby declare our total commitment to the reelection of PMB come 16th Feb 2019.
We equally call on All Nigerians Voters to cast their vote for Mr. President to guarantee a future for our Country while laying a goodf foundation that our children can be proud of.

Aisha Buhari takes campaign to Wuse market
Wife of the President Aisha Buhari, on Monday led other centra working committee of the APC Women and Youth Campaign Council to Wuse market, seeking for support ahead of Saturday’s presidential election.
Chairman of the working committee who led the campaign on behalf of the President’s wife, Brig. General Mohammed Buba Marwa said they were delighted with the trust and love shown by women and youths for the President and appeal to them to go back to their communities to encourage them to vote for Buhari.
He said Buhari was a candidate that is easy to sell because of his qualities and achievement in office, pointing out that those who collected the trader moni has demonstrated that it was for political reasons.
“Buhari is a candidate that is easy to sell. He is easy to sell based on his personal qualities and performances in office.”
Leader of the market women coalition, Mrs Oluwatoyin Badmus said it would be disastrous to ask the government to halt all its pro-people programmes simply because the nation is in a campaign season and official welfare schemes could be misconstrued as using government resources for politicking.
“Most of our people here are beneficiaries of Tradermoni. They (government) came here and gave us money and they did not ask for our Permanent Voter Cards PVCs, except our names. Tradermoni is not vote-buying unlike the propaganda being sold to Nigerians by the PDP.
“Government does not have to halt its programmes just because some partisan politicians would view it differently because we are in an election season. Are they saying the federal government should stop all its developmental programmes because we are in an he action period”, she queried.
Former Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba said President Buhari was interested in rebuilding the country and therefore need the support of all Nigerians to complete the work he has started, appealing to the traders to give Buhari their votes.
Another speaker, Prince Odinaka said this was the first time in the history of Nigeria that women and youths are given the opportunity to decide on who will lead Nigeria, adding that Nigerians should not allow those who loot the treasury to return to power.
