Bad experience at Tokyo Bust Express

Bad experience at Tokyo Bust Express

I had an extremely terrible experience with tokyo bust express. Ironically they have got some sort of Cozycot award too. LOL.

Okay so I received an email from the SampleStore about this survey we could take and upon completion can receive either bust treatment or other beauty treatments. Was tempted to do the survey since I have issues with my bust size. So i did and received a call from tokyo bust express, asking me when I’m free to do the treatment etc. The lady over the phone told me that its best to do as soon as possible to be eligible for their $300 lucky draw so I made the appointment for the next day at their outlet in Novena. (Blame my greed.)
Given how ‘anxious’ they seemed to get me to do the treatment asap, I was quite sceptical so I went to search for online reviews about the store and found various blogger’s good reviews on it. But of course bloggers would always get to experience the positive effects since they have to write a review on the store. After reading quite a few blogger’s reviews, I got excited and decided to just go for the treatment since its free.

I was 5 minutes late for the treatment and got two calls from two different callers from TBE asking about my whereabouts. Another warning signal that I shouldn’t go for it. But to much regret, I still did. Arrived at the store and was greeted by friendly receptionists. Was directed to be sitted down and received a glass of water. So far so good. Then I waited for probably 15 minutes for them to register my details etc while two other customers who walked in a few minutes after me were served first and directed to different rooms to carry out their treatment. I presume they’re regulars. Eventually when I was directed to a small room with a table and four chairs, it looked really dark and kinda like those shaddy rooms you see in movies. They also had numerous accolades from Cozycot placed on the table plus posters pasted on the walls. Then this China lady came in and exclaimed how pretty I am (think its one of their sales tactic), and then explained to me their treatments and the biology of breasts. So far it was quite interesting learning about all these. The dealbreaker came when she started telling me how the treatment I was supposed to have was just a basic treatment and doesn’t have much effects than if I were to purchase another treatment set. There are actually three parts to their treatments, each costing more than the other. She tried to sell me 10 sessions of Part A treatment for $860 before continuing on to talk about Part B and C. Then she said that she really wanted to help me solve my issue of having small boobs. I kept rejecting and said that I wasn’t prepared to spend the money and that I just wanted to try the current treatment to see whether its good before deciding but she kept repeating her words and telling me how much she wanted to help me. It was absolutely traumatising.
Given that I’m just a student and working part-time to pay my school fees, its tough on me to spend such high amounts of money on treatments I don’t even know whether will work. Its totally ridiculous how she couldn’t care less about that. Although she claimed that she knows that since I’m a student I can’t spend that much but the way she tried to push the treatments onto me is ridiculous. So eventually she claimed to have to ask her manager whether she can reduce the price for me for one session of treatment, from $300+ to $150. This is exclusive of GST. With GST it would be $160.50. Eventually I agreed because perhaps I’m mentally weak or something. I was really excited to do the treatment before I came so I kinda wanted to see it through. Thinking back, I should have just walked out of the store immediately.
So the China lady went to process the payment and when it was done, I waited in the room for like 15 mins before I was brought to another room to do the treatment. I was shocked at the state of the room. Totally different from what we see from the blogger’s blogs! There were dirt marks on the walls and the only light source’s wire was plastered onto the wall with masking tape. LOL. In there I was asked to change into a robe before someone else came in to do the treatment and measured my current nips ‘height’. After that I laid on the bed and waited for 5 mins for the service woman to come in. When she did she massaged my shoulders and upper arm for like a few minutes before cleansing my boobs. Admittedly she’s quite friendly and nice so that was okay. But the sponge she used to cleanse or according to their terms, ‘detox’ my boobs seemed like those kind that you can buy from Daiso. After 5 mins of this, she went out and I laid on the bed for what seemed forever. Mainly cause I was berating myself for being so stupid as to be convinced into paying for what was supposed to be free. But also because the service lady took another 15 mins to come in. This time it was a different person. So up till now 3 different women have looked/touched my boobs already. This time it was to use the TT machine on my boobs to ‘incite’ them or something. It felt tingly and took up 20 mins. This was alright for me. Lastly, another lady came in to massage my boobs. By now 4 different strangers have seen and touched my boobs. WTF. AND the massage hurt like hell! It was as if my worse nightmare came alive! Whoever certified this woman to give this massage ought to be shot. But she said its supposed to hurt for the first time and its good for the boobs. So I laid there for a good 10 mins wishing I was already dead. She tried to make small talk and also conveniently tried to persuade me to sign up for more treatments.

After the treatment they did a measurement to see if there were any results and supposedly my nips were perkier though they measured it on an A4 paper plastered to the wall. Don’t know whether its real since the paper can be easily moved from the wall to make the results look better. At this point the 5th lady tried to convince me to sign up for more packages while I was still half naked although robed. So I asked whether I can change into my own clothes first and then met her in the other ‘interrogation’ room. This was where she and a 6th lady tried to convince me to sign up for more packages and kept asking whether the treatment was good etc. I had enough by this time so I just said I was in a hurry and had to leave.
So that ends my essay (LOL) of the horrible experience at Tokyo Bust Express. I would never ever go back there again even if they offered to give me free treatments, which a 7th woman offered me since I said I was dissatisfied with the treatment. NO WAY IN HELL AM I GOING BACK AGAIN. I’ll take the $160 spent there as a punishment to myself for being so stupid and also as a charity fee.

I swear I won’t visit any other treatment stores etc anymore in my life given my bad experiences twice in a row! Don’t get me started on Trichokare
I went to the Takashimaya outlet . Firstly, they let me do a survey sitting outside. It was a simple form to fill in, asking about your weight and exercise habits etc..

The therapists were all from China , from the 10 girls I saw , only 1 is Singaporean .

After completing the survey , I was led into a small room, to do one to one consultation with my assigned therapist, is a young China lady – which I am surprised they are extremely bad at English and converse almost everything in Chinese.

She asked me my purpose today and she starting using the information survey and misled me into thinking that my body is in extremely bad condition and needed treatment very badly. She said she was trained in TCM, and felt my body and pulse as very slow and “cooling” , most importantly , she convinced me that my instestinal health is detoriating and there was severe blockage in my intestines.
(at the point of time I really got scared and did believe because my stomach bloating is very bad and I suffered from indigestion easily – I was genuinely worried something was wrong with my health). She asked me to partially take off my clothes so that she could show me how they can help to shape my body . Then she ask me to stand in front of a full length mirror and she started to like “push” my fats back so I can look slimmer in front of the mirror… -.
She wanted me to sign up a package costing close to $3K , I said NO WAY and kept insist I did not have enough money . She got 1 other “consultant” to come into the room to “pressurize” signing of contract, eventually because of my concerns of my health and their promises to “clear my intestinal blockage” as priority, I gave in and signed up the lowest priced trial package which is $800. I thought if it could help my health , I could give it a try . I told them I want to pay by instalment…
